The world we live in has become a crazy place. Poverty is at an all-time high in what is supposed to be the most wealthy nation on earth. We keep calling on government to save us with new poverty programs, and we now have more people using food stamps than any time in our history. If we keep seeking the answer to poverty through government, the problem will continue to get worse. The answer to poverty is in our homes, our churches, and our communities, not in Washington or any state’s capital. And, the long-term success of our country will come through our children if we teach them perseverance, hard work, humility, honesty, honor, character, hope, and love, and love will lead to action. These are the characteristics of a successful society that succeeds despite the politicians. My focus on this show will promote those ideals through youth sports, and hopefully others will take that cue to teach their children the same characteristics through their area of expertise. How we raise our children today will be our legacy for good or evil. It’s up to us!
